Change is a word that brings fear to many people. We like things to remain constant and familiar. The idea that something is different makes us uncomfortable and uncertain. If the last year has taught us anything it is that change is going to happen. We have all experienced it. Shopping has changed. Dining out has changed. School has changed. Even going to the doctor is different than it was just a year ago. Over the past year we have seen change affect our local church. From doing services completely online to having socially distanced services, nothing is quite the way we have been accustomed to.
This past week our country experienced change on a national level. A new President and new leadership has many people unsure of what the future holds. The good news is that in spite of all this change around us one thing remains the same. No matter who is the President, or how we worship the God we serve never changes. Hebrew 13:8 says, "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever."
I encourage you today, no matter what seems to be changing around you, trust the One who never changes. When life seems to be spiraling out of control turn to the One who holds the whole world in His hand. When we can't understand why things have turned out the way they have, take each and every care to God in prayer.
God Bless! We will see you on Sunday!
